this is mine still looks the same.
I've been thinking...can I swap a newer straight 6 from a 69 pick up in to my 63? would it bolt up to my stock trany and mm?
My pops just picked up a 69 c/10 and he wants to swap it for a 350

Is that 6 banger out of that 69 a 250 or a 292?

I'm not sure i haven't really talk to my pops about it.
What would be the difference between both of them? or better yet what problem would i run into if its either one?

It would be a total bolt-in. If the 6 is a 250, just use the mounts you have now. If it is a 292, you will need to replace the passenger side frame bracket and bolt the new one in the forward set of holes.

Don't swap it out. 350's are common, a dressed out straight six is unique. Check out this 292:

wow always had a soft spot for a inline 6.

almost makes me want to put mine 250 back in.
