1979 Weather Seals and Glass Questions

2 Attachment(s)
I'm about to purchase/rescue a 79 short bed from my brother in law. It is currently at my in-laws house. The neighbor kids years ago shot out the passenger side door glass and rear glass with a bb gun. Is after market glass as good as original glass? Shoulder I get after market if so who is the best supplier.

Or should I try to get it use from another truck? Do all years 73-87 work?

Lastly I would assume the truck could use a weather seal kit. Is precision the best? https://www.prp.com/product/detail/1...ationCount=100

Not sure which rear window seal to order looks like there 3 or 4 different ones.

I bought my windshield from my local glass shot. Was noticbly thinner but worked fime. I used precision seals and worked great. First time I ever did it and had no problem. Great YouTube videos. Get some special tools and you will be fine. Oh yea and another pair of hands is a must.

I buy glass for these trucks from my local auto body supply store. Windshields are $45, door glass is $26 a side.
