Re: 55-59 parts

Best front fenders without splice, cost? Best rear fenders without spare tire, cost? Best hood, Cost? and any boxing cost to ship. I live in Heber Utah 84032, any guess on shipping cost, per fender and per hood? Thanks ahead of time

Re: 55-59 parts

$150 each for the hood & front & rear fenders, there is no driver fender front or rear without a splice or a spare cut out.
This would be best to ship all on a pallet, per piece cost would probably be about $110 per piece if it could ship greyhound.

If you ever come down here I can hold these for a while too?

Some pics of the cab, pretty solid, passenger side outer step is the worst area.

Tom, are the spare-cut left rear fenders spliced and do you have a spare tire mounting bracket to go with one if not?

t korinek 06-07-2015 12:33 PM

Re: 55-59 parts

The only fender that was spliced is the front driver side. all the rest are OK, I don't have the spare tire bracket that I know of.

Re: 55-59 parts

Thanks Tom. It would be nice to rathole a spare tire fender and maybe a decent rear bumper away but getting them from AZ to PA looks like an expensive challenge.

Re: 55-59 parts

A note on the splice. The factory stamping made the fenders from a single sheet, the fender was bent around the headlight hole, and then they were all welded along that seam. It was the only way to make the cool shape of the fender. Sometimes the weld line gets a little funky.

Do you have a good '55 /up 2nd series rear truck bumper available ?

Re: 55-59 parts

I too am looking for a good rear bumper with brackets for my 1957 truck. I will be having plenty of chrome parts to be done so I would even take a painted bumper just as long as its good.

Thanks.

Re: 55-59 parts

No GMC grills

I have 3 or 4 rear bumpers, mostly painted $100 each for good ones.

Donaldo, I guess I didn't have as many rear bumpers as I thought for the 55-59, the only one I have left is one that has been made to show no bolt heads & there is a pair front & rear (the purple ones) I would take $225 for the pair, they are in nice shape.

There's also a pair of fiberglass rear fenders for the 55-66 in good shape.

Another 57 front clip , another 57 cab & short frame & other stuff
