License Plate Topper?
1 Attachment(s)
Recently picked this up and kind of curious if any one has such on their truck or early street rod. Seems they were pretty popular with many slogans and advertisements thru the years, especially 50s and early 60s. This one is aluminum and in good condition other than some paint fade. Early ones from the 30s were steel until after WW2. Went to aluminum because of rust issues. Anyone care to venture an idea of value?

I love those. They are really neat. I search ebay for them alot. Most are not that old but every now and then one pops up. Might check them out there as well

I'll venture a guess its worth about $75. Maybe more if you are from Hot Springs.

Re: License Plate Topper?
Thanks for the replies. Thinking it is pretty cool piece from back in the day for sure. Would run it on my '57 Chevy 2 door if I lived in Arkansas or it was from here in Kansas. Not sure if going to keep it or maybe sell/swap for a topper from the state of Kansas.
I was kinda thinking value was in the $65-$75 range so guess maybe will start at that area. Will be doing a swap meet next month, maybe try and trade it or sell there. |
Re: License Plate Topper?
For small items that are easy to ship, I usually divert to Ebay. As much as I don't like to. But if there's a couple guys from Hot Springs that have to have and it start going at it,you might be surprised at how much that you might get. People go crazy on auctions. Just put a reserve on it.
