I have this to sell. It is the whole system all intact. I'd rate at very good condition. One half bow has a damaged end. Not sure how shipping this would work, but let's see who is interested and where they are. It's a funny deal here, because it's a hard to ship system. I'm hoping there is someone who needs it who is close enough to pick up. I'm willing to ship if someone is willing to pay. I'd like to give a little time for a whole unit sale, but willing to part. I've had second thoughts since posting last night and probably should have just offered parts. Need to get $150 out of whole unit (priced to give room for shipping cost). If it goes in pieces the parts will be priced accordingly and the overall amount will add up to more.

This is just a tough thing to list. I'd want to keep parts in complete groups, such as all bows, blower assembly, etc, except covers. I'll sell seperately

Ok. you have first dibs, but hopefully some patience, too. I can weight pieces and add it up, then I have to figure the best way to package. I'm thinking it might be best to leave out the galvanized sheet that is the base and you just source a replacement locally. It's long, flimsy, and heavy. Probably cost to replace is cheap as shipping it. Probably be best in a few packages, a tube for headliner retainer pieces (baby blue channel), one for the blower assembly and it's cover, and one for the rest. If anyone has shipped such a thing, I'm all ears for suggestions. Meanwhile, I'll get you an idea of shipping cost. Will have to guesstimate on overall size and packing weight.

Give me a couple days. Maybe, if the shipping is too much, we could find a way through linking up rides for it? I wish I could say i was heading anywhere near your area in the near future. But, maybe someone else. A very helpful someone

Fastenal will ship but you have to built a wooden box it is call Fastenal 3rd party logistics you have to get the quote on line.
Grey hound will ship up to 100 inches long I shipped a 1/3 of a hard top one time.

Ok guys. The main thing is it will be one huge and pretty heavy crate or a pretty big and most of the weight one for the blower assy, a long pretty light one (except steel base), and maybe a longer tube for side pieces.

Dwayne, have you packed & shipped one before? If so, care to share ideas? I'm good at building strongest/lightest but open to suggestions.

Ws6, you are next...gotcha. You aren't terribly far from MD, are you? I mean, like 5-6hrs, I'd guess. Too bad I can't swing a trip to visit my buddy and sister (she married him) in S/E Maine like I'd love to do! Anyway, I'll get to work weighing/sizing/estimating this evening

I'm actually not even that far. I could meet you half way and we'd both be on the road for 5 hours round trip.

Or I can send money now and pick it up in October. I'm heading to North Carolina then and you're practically on the way.

I have shipped a few times with Fastenal and Greyhound so far I haven't had problems with either. I would suggest putting all the bulky parts in one box shipped by Fastenal and ship the longer ones in a tube but as long as they are they might be truck freight and that will not be cheap.

Yeah, length over weight is a beeyich on that light long stuff. All in one would be a heavy chunk, heavy at one end.

I got tied up till dark last night by someone coming by to pick something up they bought at Carlisle. Then it was time to fix up some food for my hungry gizzard...than fall asleep with empty plate in my lap...zonk!
Gotta go now, so I promise to get the weighing done later and calculate materials and size. No charge on labor. Never mind using my hands and tools... usually.

Don't worry, the order of call with be respected. I only deal one way... square.

The parts pick up last evening was tires I had to dismount for a guy who didn't want the wheels (that I'm happy to keep). I told the guy don't worry, you say you want them they are yours. Come by next week for them. He was all worried I'd sell them out from under him and insisted on paying up front. I didn't turn that down, but I told him that was up to him, the results would be the same on my end. A great guy and I made a new friend. Makes my world go 'round.

Guess I should have told you I build the crate on the ground so everything fits and then empty it load the crate on my truck and reload and then fasten the top down. I don't have a fork lift but the Fastenal I deal with does some don't.

No, nothing yet. I am just too busy to deal with this. I got bombarded with calls, been working long days, looking at/estimating jobs, and the only way Ifor any hope to take a few days for labor day (I am labor) is to cram all I can in between now and then. One truck needs a wheel cyl and the other a coil. I just have too much on my plate to gather what is needed to build the crate, estimate size and weight first, building, and run it up to fastenal...if it doesn't cost too much. I've done all this before and wrote the time and effort up as helping fellow members out. But, I just can't afford the time right now, so pretty much pulling it out of here. I didn't want to have to stash it, again, but ended up having to due to being so busy. So, sorry about that. Once I posted I realized probably not what I could handle, but already had responses when I cam back and gave it a shot. It would weight as much as the whole unit plus a couple sheets of plywood and 1x6 or 18 frame plus packing. Over 100# limit for Greyhound, leaving Fastenal or U-ship. Again, sorry for the false start

I know how it is, I travel for my job and only home on weekends. I hardly get time to do the things I need to get done. I'm serious when I say I'm in no rush for it and I'm willing to pay shipping. I bought a rear hatch for my Burb on the forum and shipping was high so I know for this it will be even more. I just wanted to let you know I still would like to get it.

Ive got the same ac console. And have afew questions. How did it come down. Mine looks to have plastic base mounted to rood. Which is cracking and a trim thats wraps around edge. Im. Scared to take it down for it make crack more but. I need to repair. Yours looks to have a metal roof base.
