laying out an OBS truck?
I'm looking for a good OBS truck to bag and am just curious if these trucks have the same issues as the older trucks as far as the front crossmember not allowing you to lay out without a drop member or Z'ing the frame? I have no problem Z'ing the frame as I'll be doing a Z on the rear anyhow, just trying to plan ahead as far as knowing what I'm getting in to.

Re: laying out an OBS truck?
You can lay frame flat with no crossmember mods...

Re: laying out an OBS truck?
is that just spindles, control arms, and bags? that's a very clean truck, exactly what I'm going for.

Re: laying out an OBS truck?
That is done using spindles, stock control arms (modified here & there), & bags. Then of course moving the shocks to an outboard style setup.
The rear was an Ekstensive metal works kit. What size wheels you wanting to run? |
Re: laying out an OBS truck?
probably 22"s or a 22"/24" combo

Re: laying out an OBS truck?
you just notch the control arms in places so they'll go up higher?

Re: laying out an OBS truck?
22/24 are nice on these trucks. I have that on my bodydropped truck, and have ac still. I have stock spindles too.
