stock spring specs Help please

with my truck now in super capable hands I've been asked the question of what the standard spring spec/size/weight rating is for both front and back.

I've checked on the usual sites but can't seem to find the info - to add logic to this my mechanic is aiming to have the springs made locally, slightly lowered but to meet the same (or better) standard specs.

Hopefully I can get some urgent help

Thanks

Glenn

I can't help with the specs but if you are going with a lowered spring I would think it would be more cost effective to just buy them from here in the US.

Thanks John, I did wonder myself, we're doing price comparisons but I agree it may well be quicker & easier just ordering from RA

Thanks for the input

Spring rates aren't a "one size fits all" deal. Spring rates from the factory are determined depending on how the truck was optioned. Look up Moog replacement springs for the various rate options.

I did a bunch of research on spring rates and they vary a good bit based on rate and use. A hotchkis spring will be stiffer than a CPP. A good spring shop will want wheel weights, total weight, installed height and use. If you are going to auto cross the truck the rates will be stiffer than the rate on a cruiser that is looking for the smoothest ride.
