What gauges on Diesel Bros. C10 build
Hello everyone. Look forward to spending some times in the threads planning my build.
Anyone know what kind of gauges were used on the duramax build? And also, do they turn red when a “low/upper limit” is reached? |

I believe the gauges they used are SPEK-Pro gauges by autometer. Yes they are programmable to change color at the limits. Some NASCAR teams use these gauges.

Yes they are, VERY pricey. Most of those type gauges are to be used with a data log system. That's why NASCAR and others use them, so they can look back and see exactly what everything is reading. Back in the old days when I raced local dirt tracks we just used a red trailer marker light and wired it like a warning light along side the gauges. So during a race you didn't have to constantly monitor the gauge. If a big red light came on inside the car you knew you had problems.

That's the gauges I have, now that my RED light failed... repairs were 4 times the gauges!

Many of the parts shown on the endless parade of cable TV vehicle rebuilding shows obtain the parts gratis from makers or vendors in exchange for the 'advertising' exposure received on the show and the endless reruns.
