Google Images to Forum Post

Is there an easy way to get a picture from Google Images to a post on the forum?

Google is automatically saving my photos, and I pay for space there.

Uploading pictures manually to this site, 2 pictures at a time, is cumbersome and has held me back from working on my build page.

I think the only way is to make the album public and then link the URL of the photo but I am not a google-fu black belt. I think google should have the least amount of my information anyway. Hussey I think used google as a host for a while. maybe he will chime in.

I have had good luck with flickr, recommended by gigamanx, the only cumbersome thing I have encountered is that it takes 8 clicks to upload a photo: upload, choose photo, add to albums, done, upload, confirm, upload. it doesnt take a lot of time to click buttons, but they scatter them all over the page, so its 1 oclock 6 oclock, 9 oclock, 1 oclock, 6 oclock etc. might be easier on mobile. and when you share you have to remember to click the bb code link to get the bb formatted link. might be simpler to just upload here.

I used to use Google Picasa and it worked great, then all of a sudden Google decided to stop supporting it to force you to use Google Photos. So, I've now been using Google photos.

It works well for me though my only gripe is that it puts the image up at the size it is stored in Google Photos, which can be annoying, too large. In Picasa, you could select the image size. I've read some code you can put in front of the image that is supposed to reduce the size but I could never get it to work.

Anyways, here's how I do it:

1) Create a folder for the pictures you want to show.
2) Make that folder visible to the public.
3) Add your pictures to that folder.
4) Click on the picture for it to come up where it is shows over a black back ground.
5) Right click the image and select "Copy Image Address".
6) In your post paste the image address and add [img] before the address and [/img] after the address. Or, you can click on the little add image button of the toolbar.
7) You can then click the the next image arrow in Google Photos to grab your next image address.

I usually put posts together in Word because I can type, copy, paste, edit quicker in Word than in the forum editing window. I then select all (Ctrl+A), copy (Ctrl+C), then paste it into the forum editing window (Ctrl+V).

Also, on your phone, in photos, settings, back-up, you can select the upload size. "High Quality" is unlimited free storage and "Original Size" you pay for. I find the "High Quality" more than sufficient, and actually prefer to reduce the size of my pics from that when posting.

Awesome. Thanks Hussey.

In Word, you just paste:

[img] "Google image address" [/img]

and keep on typing? That's good advice.

Also, thanks for the advice on Google. My wife is what drove us to buy space from Google. She only takes a few hundred pictures of our kids every day.

Yep, that's exactly how I do it.

Hussey, one last thing: Are you limited to how many pictures you can put into one post, when using this method?

I'm not sure but since it's just an image code, I wouldn't think so. I've put quite a few in at a time and haven't had any issues.
