New Daily Driver
5 Attachment(s)
Brought home a '68 swb fleetside the other day, it's a driver quality truck and intended to be my daily driver. The 503 light green paint was likely done on the cheap as it's best viewed from about 10 feet away but it'll be fine for a truck I'll use everyday. Interior wise it's in good condition and the seat sits pretty well. The driver's window regulator has a couple of bumps in its travel, the PO gave me a new after market regulator but I think I'll spend some time to see if I can sort out the original first. It has a small aftermarket steering wheel that looks out of place, he gave me the original but a comfort grip should be a great replacement. The original 307/3ott runs and shifts well but I see a newer 327 or 350 with an automatic making its way into the engine compartment. I got a set of drop springs with the truck so as soon as I can get some drop shocks to compliment them we'll throw them in and see where it lands. Anyway here are the few pics I have now, I'll throw more up as soon as I get them.

Yeah I'm definitely jealous, look at that floor and those rockers! I don't care if the paint was a 100 footer, that is a beautiful truck!

Re: New Daily Driver
Nice looking interior. I see that the dash is still intact. Just need a stock AM radio in there and it'll feel like you're back in 1968.
Also, I noticed the seat cover. Man, that must have been popular at some point. Your's is about the 5th one I've seen with that particular aftermarket pattern. The first one I saw was on a truck on ebay. A member ended up with that truck. I actually have an old thread where I was searching for that same cover in black. Would you let me know if you come across a manufacturers tag? Hope you're enjoying the heck out of the truck. |
