88 to 98 door fittment

Hi there anybody ever use a 1988, c 2500 extended cab door on a 1994, c 2500 extended cab, only reason I ask is if you go to a junkyard site they show 1988 thru 1993, 1994 by itself, 1995 thru 1998

tks Bob

I think it is the inside door panels and guts are lightly different. Far as I know, sheet metal wise they are the same, just interior is different

The doors are similar but not the same. The inside are shaped differently to accommodate the door pulls / pocket on the 88-93. The 95-98 (including 94 with some slight differences) eliminate the recess for the pocket / pull. You can use an early door (88-93) on later models but not the other way around.
Ironically, I just refinished and hung an '88 vintage door on a '98 truck today; with the exception of adding a couple of holes to accommodate fasteners on the later regulator panel assy, the fitment was perfect.
