Hooker Headers - Progress Pics

These are some hooker headers part # 2451-1.

They would work great if the engine was in the I6 position, however in the V8 position they hit the drivers a-arm so I did a little pounding. I didn't have to cut the frame though. I built my own transmission crossmember to run the exhaust through the frame. I still need to blast holes in the trailing arm crossmember and weld in some pipe to run the exhaust right out the back.

For your own safety ditch the fire starter air cleaner. Nice valve covers.

I've done the same thing, I've got 70-81 camaro headers and the I6 engine mounts. My truck is going to be dropped about 4.5" front and 6.5" in the rear, I'm going to love the ground clearance. The hooker headers that for the truck stuck below the frame 4.5" and would only get 3" of ground clearance.

Here's a few more pics. The lowest part of the flange is 2-1/4" below the frame.

Thats cool... similar to what I did. I ran some headman s bend header extension and tucked it up even further.
