69 C10 2wd Stepside Truck lift question

Right now as my truck sits it's dropped quite a bit (look at my avatar)...However, being this is a 4x4 forum, I wanted to see if someone could help me figure out what the easiest way would be to raise my truck and most cost effective way of doing it? I want to raise it and get bigger tires on it for the roads out in Mexico as we are planning to drive out there a lot.

Roads are not as gracious out there and want to be able to drive it out there without hitting everything on the road from my truck being so low or having to slow down for the speed bumps (they have lots of them).

Let me know and thanks for your help in advance.

What the hey! I confused! Your title says 2wd but content in post says 4x4! And the avatar looks like a rat rod. Any how, we be needin' to see pics of them springs. If it's a 4x4 even. Maybe just flip the springs. But we need to see, you can get some stock springs and it will sit higher than that! Is it a 4x4!

It's not a 4x4 currently, it's a rat rod (kinda). But since we'll be moving to mexico soon...I'm trying to figure out what the best way to lift my truck would be? Since it's a 4x4 forum I'd figure I'd start there in asking. So if I purchased all stock Front & Rear Springs that would help bring it up some right...if so what is the stock ride height? I don't think I've seen a stock 69 truck to compare. Any/all help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I got it, I should have read more carefuly. So cheapest is probably to get some stock springs from the Junk Yard and then get some spring spacers. They generally give about 1.5" to 2.5" on the coil spring.

Just do a google search on leveling kit for your year truck. You'll see this type of spacer.

Plus go to the regular 67-72 forum and look at the sticky for show your tuck pic threads. lots of trucks to see in stock incarnation! http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=646108 :metal:

Is your rear leaf of coil springs? Cheapest way is spacers or body lift. But I don't like either. You could also install new 3/4 tom springs. Do a search on this site. I think it has come up a time or two.
Here are a couple threads off the top of my head. Kinda the same, only different...

1 ton springs will give you about a inch or so of lift.Past that you can use spring spacers and some have used lift spindles off the 88-98 trucks but they are 6 lug and you gotta change out your ball joints and tie rod ends to match the spindles and brakes from those years truck.

I appreciate the responses, I will most likely go with 3/4 springs or 1ton springs to lift my truck. I want it lifted and bigger tires as well. Thanks for the responses guys!!

A hard one to find but fabtech use to make a 2wd lift kit for the 73-87 trucks and could work,But again its not been made in a long time so not that easy to find.
