Torque specs for a L33 5.3 vortec
Hi I'm looking for the bolt Torque specs for a L33 5.3 vortec? I was sure I saw it here some place?
also with this being all aluminium engine do I need to put anything on these bolts before I torque them in? What about detailing the engine should I paint it or just leave it how it? Tell me what you think! Thanks |

I would say you need anti-seize on good clean bolts to get proper torque on them. Dont know about the torque specs. :smoke:

LM4
The LM4 was an aluminum block version of the LM7, and had a short production life. It should not be confused with the L33. LM4 applications: * 2003-04 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT * 2004 GMC Envoy XL * 2004 Chevrolet SSR L33 Vin code "B" The L33 was an aluminum block version of the LM7, and was referred to as the Vortec 5300 HO in marketing materials. Power increased by 15 hp (11 kW), to 310 hp (230 kW), over the LM7, and torque was unchanged. It was only available on extended cab 4WD pickup trucks. if rebuilding.... i understand its very important to blow out bolt holes with compressed air.... easy to damage block if fluids are trapped in bottom of bolt hole.

Most of the LS1 bolts are torq to yield unless you replace them with ARPs.
Where you purchasing the bolts? The can provide you with the information you need. |
