71 Blazer gas tank vent lines install instructions

Hi guys. I've searched here and I can't find a discussion of the proper way to replace the gas tank vent lines. I've also search the internet in general. I'm not sure if it's necessary for me to remove the rear bumper drop the gas tank Etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I replaced mine from underneath the truck. Everything stayed on the truck except for some brackets. The connection to the gas tank was the most difficult if I remember correctly.
