Identification please

So I got this old boat sitting in the back and looking at perhaps fixing this baby up. Problem is it has a chevy emblem, pontiac markings and a gmc label in the engine bay.

It looks like a Pontiac with the Indian emblem, but I have no clue.

Help would be appreciated.

I did some MAJOR scouring of the internet tonight and found out its a 1954 Chevy Sedan Delivery truck with the original inline 6.

Of which you can see a cleaned up version here...

It is a Canadian Pontiac most likely. They used the Chevy bodies for a while and rebadged as Pontiac when they imported. Same parts as a '54 Chevy Sedan Delivery with some additional badges. Pontiac/GMC shared dealerships until Pontiac just died, that may be the GMC badge under the hood.

I know from my time over at the Chevelle site that Canadian GM mixed and matched parts from different lines. Some years of Canandian Chevelles, called Beaumonts up there, have Pontiac front clips but are badged as Chevrolets. I think the differences are actually cool instead of seeing the same thing over and over at the shows.

In the US it would be a 54 Chev Sedan delivery that it appears that someone cut holes for camper windows in at one time. It was probably someone's "Huntin rig" back a few years ago with a bunk in the back.

Still it looks pretty solid and a guy could weld in patch panels to fill those "windows" in the back.
If you didn't want to build it but could get it right. You could clean it up a bit and it should make real good trading material.

It has some rotted panels but mostly from the previous owners had decided to let it lay on the ground and rot :(

Found a site that has replaceable panels for a reasonable price.. so I figure its worth fixing it up somewhat.

I'll probably toss the body onto a s10 frame or something similar to give it a modern ride and in doing so I maybe able to just put rockers on and make a flat floor of my own.

We'll see.

More like a service car - used to pick up the body from the place of death. Flower cars were usually open.
