2003 wipers stop sometimes in when used steady
 

The wipers will stop for a bit then go again when used alot like in a heavy rain or snow storm. It does in all modes of the wiper switch, delay or on steady. Do they have a relay that protects the fuse from blowing or protects the wiper motor ? Is the wiper motor going or is the relay going if it does have one or is it the wiper switch. I know nothing about newer vehicles, all my other trucks and cars are old school. Just wondering where to start . Is along shot but I thought I would ask, couldn,t find anything online

all I can recommend is to check the mechanical arms and lubricate all the bushings and moving parts.

Thanks I was hoping for a simple fix but didn,t really think there was one, to many things that could make it do this. Just a process of elimination but do they have a relay ?

Check the inside of your main fusebox. I would expect there to be one because of the power draw and also that most vehicles made after the mid 80s had relays for most all of the major systems. Also look at the owners manual if you have one.

update, wipers quit. There is a circuit board inside the motor that likes to go bad. $344.00 CAD. Got him to give me a deal and got it for 208.00
