This guy I met let me take some pics of his truck. You guys with bags will probably appreciate this more than everyone else. It was pretty cool to see it sit on the ground. He calls it DR. LOW :p

is this what you call a body drop?

crazy longhorn 02-07-2003 03:49 PM

yes, the body is dropped....but its what us "old farts" called channeled;) He still has a little work to do, but is well on his way! that is a custom "back half" on the frame......very slick. crazyl:bowtie:

NSANE68!!! 02-07-2003 06:50 PM

If you took those pics, could you do me a favor and find out what hood hinges he used.

MUCH appreciated. Thanks:D

Purs 02-07-2003 07:29 PM

will do, it may be the middle of next week before I see him again though.

SCOTI 02-07-2003 07:30 PM

Is that truck from the Abiliene area?? My buddy gets his 64 drag truck stuff powder coated up there & his last trip out there he told me about a truck he borrowed from some guy to make a beer run in. He said it reminded him of my beater & that it was freakin' low enough that he was 'railing'. The color & stance are cool in a trailer park kinda' way.

Tynee 02-07-2003 07:30 PM

I hope he keeps the old school wheels and tires. that's a sweet combination of looks.

Nova_Cobra64 02-07-2003 08:12 PM

I would say if he plans to paint it and put rims on, then it would benefit from being chopped.

MandarinSixSeven 02-07-2003 08:49 PM

oh man, those rims would be sweet on there...and I personally hope he doesnt chop it, not to sound like an a$$, but I think they look so much better un-chopped, its just too much change

crazy longhorn 02-07-2003 09:01 PM

it really needs a 3 1/2 -4" chop to really put the "icing " on that drop..........;) crazyL:D

lotik 02-07-2003 09:31 PM

NSANE... pondering over a bodydrop? my hinges are from a old dodge. firewall mounted. a hotrod company sells some sweet billet hinges. i would have to find their name. his look as if they are mounted up by the cowl.

Myride 02-08-2003 02:50 AM

different man real low

Slammed67 02-08-2003 02:56 PM

Me likey! I'd drive it just like that.... faded paint and hub caps. Gotta love it!

orange72 02-08-2003 05:19 PM
