brush on DP40?

Sorry if this has been covered?
I read (somewhere?) its not easy to sand out the brush marks?
I thought since I have much block sanding to do, but still have some filler touch ups, rather than spraying I could brush one or two coats?
I only have a small amount of quarter panel repair on a off topic car project.
Wait till I get a decent respirator then shoot it or brush on o.k.?
Been years since I painted anything out of a spray gun.
(but will be soon!)

And.... ;)
my sanders are set up for 3" sheets for blocking. All I seem to find now is 2 and 3/4" is this the new standard? Or am I missing something?

Not sure how well DP sands, as my experience has been with House of Kolor and SPI. The H/K epoxy would sand but was prone to loading the paper. SPI sands very well by comparison, maybe not as easy as High build, but close.

I do know that same maker[PPG] has a brush on primer BUT it is just their high build primer. You can make a small area with the brush on primer but that always ended up with more labor than the same primer that is sprayed on. Now on to the epoxy primer that stuff sands like concrete I would not suggest brushing the DP or DPLF or even the Omni epoxy [ That is what I use, both Omni epoxy and high build] it is just too hard to sand. Good luck and happy sanding

Thanks guys! I value both of your opinions. I will spend a little more time with my local supplier and get what I need. One guy next town over comes highly recommended and been in the biz for years.
Looking forward to getting it going!
