GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
GMC Production Numbers 67-72
The link above is located over on the sister board CGITC. We are trying to gather data on as many Board Member GMC's as possible to create a Production Number list kinda like the Chevrolets do. Please chime in if you are interested in helping. ;) Here is what we need from everyone willing to help, * Year (Actual year is in vin, production date a real plus) * Type (Sierre Grande / Custom / Jimmy / Etc...........) * Model # (1st set of #'s on glovebox sheet in options section) * Vin # (Also on glovebox, door pillar areas, front of frame) * Drive Train (2 or 4wd is in the vin, info like engine, trans & axle ratios) * Options (A/C, PS, PB, weird stuff, etc......................) :fb: |

Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
Is this just 67-72 or do 73-87's count too ?
|
Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
Production #'s for the 73 up should still be available.
LUV, I am going to add the date of manufacture to mine, this may help also for those who no longer have the sticker on the door. |
Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
Cool! Take lots of pics.
I will add the specs to mine. |
Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
Here are production numbers for Canadian built GMC vehicles, includes 67-72 trucks. I guess my truck is a relatively rare one, only 15,906 built in 1970 compared to almost twice as many built in other years. :metal:
http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/...GMofCanada.jpg I wonder how much a 1922 GMC truck, in mint condition, is worth? |
Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
Neato, to bad it's not broken down by types.
|
Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
I'll get mine vin and everything.I'm to lazy to get it right now.

Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
If you have record of trucks you have owned but no longer have, please add them to the list.
Include VIN # and date of manufacture if known plus any other pertinent info. |
Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
Lost of views, not alot of responses. We are not asking for your SSN
I assumed the GMC guys and gals would be interested in this, am I wrong? I know we are in the minority here but I believe this data collected over time could help us know what kind of numbers might still be out there ;) Thanks to all those who have contributed their information so far, Craig |

CS10DPB61410 250/SM435 (IIRC), Dana 44 w/ 3.54, manual drums and steering. I am unsure of the production date as there are NO stickers on it. it was purchased new from a farm implement dealer on 5-23-68

Re: GMC Production Numbers (Survivors List)
Jake that is wonderful, now we know it is a 4X4 GMC! If you get a chance we need more of the VIN, X out the 2 or 3 middle numbers on the sequencial serial if you want but we need at least the first two and last one to get an idea of production numbers.
