Ground straps on 67s?

Went to fix the tail & brake lights on my 67 C20. Found I had no ground to the housing so I started to look for a broken ground strap to the bed. Couldn't find one. In fact I couldn't find any ground straps on this truck. Not engine to firewall, not frame to body, nor frame to bed. So I looked at the wife's 67 C10 couldn't find any on it either. So what gives, did these trucks come from the factory with none of the ground straps one might be used to

Back in the day, first time the valve covers were changed, the first thing to go was those ugly ground straps. There are other ways to ground the engine to the body...

Got the originals grounding the valve covers to the chassis. I added another from the battery to the frame, and when I rewired the tail light and reverse light I added a separate ground wire from the light housing to the chassis in the back. Probably not required but for peace of mind.

Yes but that doesn't explain no other ground straps on the truck.
