Oh believe me, it was a ball. When you need 2 Cheyenne Inner Roof skins, another outer skin with clearance lights, one for any addition pieces, and the actually suburban roof.... you get tired of drilling

Thanks for the kind words, I keep trying to think like your comment. Thinking it will turn out better this way. Trevor

I have had the feeling of doubt, "i wonder if i am crazy, this is crazy..." from going a little in depth for something. haha. better to just do it right the first time. thats the phrase i keep using to justify my behavior! haha

i vote DMAX on the emblem. leaves no doubt.

Re: Project: Big Grapefruit

DMAX oh yes!

Re: Project: Big Grapefruit

My vote would go to DMAX.................Love it

Is that a new door skin on the 4th door that was sectioned together?

71blksuper4x4 10-27-2014 05:09 PM

Re: Project: Big Grapefruit

DMAX it shall be! Thanks guys

As far as the door skin, yes it is a new outer door skin that I have cut the correct length, but will still need some tweaking. I figured this way I could do the bodywork front and back until its right. Trevor

Re: Project: Big Grapefruit

I'd go with DMAX on the emblem too. It'll look sweet.

A member asked to see my roof currently. I am adding truck headliners into the cab, thus why so much cut out.

More inner roof pics. Took a little bit to figure out my transition to the door pillars. Also, got my porterbilt firewall filler panels in and started to attack them. Trevor

Re: Project: Big Grapefruit

Roof is looking great, RU welding that inner skin above your head? I guess flipping a cab that big would be a problem!

71blksuper4x4 01-26-2015 06:06 PM

Re: Project: Big Grapefruit

Nope, I have the outer roof skin off, so I am able to weld from the top and hammer and dolly as well.
