A/C swap

I have read on some builds about mounting the in cab box from a mid 90's Chevrolet truck in our cabs. I have started the process and would love some tips. If not, I guess I will be starting a swap thread.

I have not seen this done, I also would like to see it done, I will hang around and see how it turns out...good luck on the AC swap. do you have an ac cab now, or a non ac cab?

Re: A/C swap

It is not a ac cab now, but I have changed one over before with original components. I have the box the majority of the way in now, but will have to change the box some and the upper right cowl. I have a old cab and think I will cut it up to make it fit there first. then transfer over to the cab I'm using.

Looks like fairly major metal work if I keep the fresh air intake. What's the opinion on doing cab/recirculate air only?

It'll be fine. The aftermarket kits do not use fresh air and in fact, I think, if you install aftermarket A/C in a A/C cab they tell you to not use the fresh air return.
