LQ4 2002 6.0 ..Did all trucks have VATS?
 

Swapping a 2002 6.0 LQ4 into my 72 K10. I bought the whole 2002 Chev 2500HD and the key does not look like it has a chip in it...basically it's a steel key that has no plastic area on it. Engine ran great before I pulled it, although I could not drive it as the tranny was snapped in 2. Trying to see if I have to get my PCM reflashed or not..

It has VATS and you'll need to get the computer reflashed any way to remove rear O2 sensors, all the emission equipment, update your gear and tire size and to retune it to your specific vehicle.
