Air, fuel, spark...any details on the truck like miles, maintenance, engine codes, etc would help. If it was running fine one day and not the next, I'd check the fuel pump. Usually you can hear them running to prime the system for a few seconds when you first turn the key on.

I had a similar issue with my 03 2500 HD a few years back. I started it and back out of the garage to load some stuff in the bed and shut it off. Went to restart and it did nothing, no cranking or anything. My buddy who is a GM tech came over and did some testing. Turned out my ECM went bad and I had to have it towed to a GM dealer for replacement and reprogramming. Hopefully this is not your problem.

One thing to check is the oil pressure switch to fuel relay circuit.....they are designed not to run without proper oil pressure thus the oil pressure switch is a 3 wire setup.....a test light and a multimeter will help you figure it out.......search youtube for a "crank but no start issue" for gm truck.................
