power boost interchangablity

Question about power boost and interchangablity with newer models. My 69 panels power boost seems to be in question in cpl ways. I have few donor vehicles sitting around and wondering if any might swap out. a 95 Astro van and 97 3/4 ton PU.

What years will swap or can be made to work with existing system?

Not sure this will help....

I think the mounting brackets are different.

I used an Astro van booster in my Nova.

For my C10 I used a Mid-90's truck booster and a Captain Fab bracket.

The mid 70 on c10 sounds promising. I have 97 donor truck I am stripping and then junk yard. Bought it for the 4L80E trans, maybe A/C unit, possibly the front sway bar And it will fit fuel tank,so hey booster just another bonus.Any more parts swapped and my 69 will almost be 97 with 69 body.LOL

What years will swap with existing system? I kind of think you are changing the system! From pedal to hard lines.

Anyhow, you can make about anything work. Main things, get your pedal and push rod figured out. If you get an after market bracket for your year that matches the booster, then I guess it might be figured out for you. I advise to use the master that comes with the booster from the factory. Get the correct accumulator for your brakes. I assume Disc/Drum; Gold GM accumulator. I also assume you have power steering. I put in a hydro boost off a 85 CUVC. I did a simple mod on the pedal and some small hacking on the mounting bracket. Super easy upgrade. For the hydraulic lines I got newer lines and cut and flared the ends with the old lines hardware to fit my pump and steering box. I use the same size hard lines off an 85 for the brake lines also. I basically have brakes from pedal to pads off an 85(because my axles are off an 85 also).... and they work great!

The main thing is the mounting bracket and rod length. I don't think any newer year is a straight bolt in with out some pedal and bracket mods.

Here is some info on an astro HB and early box.

Either a mod to the line or change out the valve on the box to get it done.
