Re: steering column

Would you consider a rebuilt OEM column? Bolts right in and there are at least two board members rebuilding these.

Yes I would be happy with that. I looked on here but didn't find anyone that did that. I've heard that some of the parts required to rebuild a NON tilt wheel are not available but I don't care if its tilt or not. so again yes I'm interested. Thanks for your help.

I have a complete non tilt if you need to go outside your shipping range. But I suspect you will get something much closer to home. Might be pricey but I would definitely opt for the tilt column if it's in the cards .

I'd go OEM if possible and here's a helpful thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=545118

Re: steering column

1tuff71, I went the route of using after market steering column and by no means knocking anyone's product out there. I had a tough time trying to get the correct column and kept waiting on distributor and just got tired of the BS. I searched this forum and it was the best thing that I had done, there is a member by the name of 70shortfleet and he rebuilds columns. Well I had reached out to Les (70shortfleet) and he had told me what he was going to do as well as price, well I received it back yesterday. The tilt column looked like a brand new and I could not believe this was my original one that I had sent to him. I like the ideal that I have basically a brand new original in my 72 blazer now. Highly recommend him and he is great in communication.
Good Luck, Wayne G.
