WANTED: GMC Hydramatic Shifter for AD
Steering column mounted GMC hydramatic shifter and any part of the linkage if you have it. Any year AD or TF years OK if it still close to the same.

knob is different on 3 speed shifter but I don't know if handle itself will fit and detent bracket clamps around column under the hood and has neutral start switch mounted to it.

The chevy shift indicator will mount to a column that was a 3 speed shift on the column. The holes are in the same location. 54 and later columns had an extra cover lower where wiring came through. Again, GMC and Chevy used different shifters, and linkage from the factory. GMC engines are longer and I don't know any other reasons for differences. I was told that GMC tended to use Pontiac based shifters and Chevrolet used Oldsmobile based. That could be exactly wrong too but the basic idea is there.
