Winter project replace inner outer rocker questions

Looking for advice, when I remove door is it best to leave hing on door or truck ?
Does the fender have to come off for this procedure?
After install and "tacked"/spot/ welded what adhesive do you run along top sill ? There is something on there now running the length of the entire rocker and can't figure out what it is. That's all for now Thanks ,

Yes you need to take off the fender. Because when you do inners you most likely will end up with the footwell and the A and B pillars needing changed as well. 99 times out of a 100 the parts listed will need to be on the list if inners are included. I think the "cab kit" is the best deal for rust repair add in a pair of foot well panels[ I have talked to the company and asked why they didn't include them they just don't know]and it should take care of most of the rust needs for the "normal' truck.
I take the hinge loose at the cowl then when I'm fitting it stick the door up on the latch to start the hinges.
Now I've done two of these recently, and it is labor intensive but it will make a huge difference in the cab once you have that done you come over a huge hump to getting that truck going your way.

When I do this job, I'll first be refreshing up by watching Gibson63's videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/1gibsonl4
