Texas Suburban
3 Attachment(s)
My Son in Law had been looking for a 71-72 Suburban for a while. He found one in San Angelo, TX and a high school buddy and I went down a picked it up this week. Original big block 1/2 ton with rear air. It matches his 2wd Blazer.

Re: Texas Suburban
That's sweet. What does something like that cost anymore? I haven't been looking at subs much but considering it...
Also, is it a high hump or low hump? I've heard rumor that big block subs had TH350 and low hump possibly. Or maybe even with the TH400? |
Re: Texas Suburban
It's a high hump with a 400 turbo.
Like everything 67-72, the price is going up every day. |
Re: Texas Suburban
Looks like a great Burb. Was it on Craigslist, EBay, a word of mouth or friend of a friend deal. I'm always curious as how someone came across their truck. That's why I started the "Where/How did you find your truck" thread..

Re: Texas Suburban
Love that color! What are the plans for the burb?

I should add some more to your thread also. I think I have one or two on there. |

It will sit about like the Blazer when it's finished. |
Re: Texas Suburban
Nice rig. Beautiful color!

Re: Texas Suburban
Great find. It was nice you went down to bring it home. Hope the son in law appreciates that support.

Re: Texas Suburban
Doug you should be seeing the pattern by now. He pays me to stay away.:lol:

Re: Texas Suburban
He just called and said the timing gear is stripped.
I can see a 454 is this Burbs future. |

Stripped timing gear...how about a 5.3, 6.0 or a 6.2 swap on the new burb? |
Re: Texas Suburban
We talked briefly about an LS swap. We just sold a company truck with an 8.1 engine.

Sweet find!
