Glue or push on weatherstripping?

I see GMC Paul offers both glue on and push on door weather stripping for the doors. I would like to know peoples thoughts on these two items as I'm at the weather stripping purchase point, thanks.

I’ve tried both (on pickups). The push-on style is easy to install and effective.

I installed push on about 4 years ago and it made the door very hard to close. Had to slam it hard. There was suggestions of cutting holes, wd-40, etc, but nothing worked. Maybe they’ve changed the design?

I'm hoping so cause I'm going to the push on route, after years of gluing/tapeing weather stripping I'm looking forward cleanliness
Thanks for the replies

Let us know how it goes. Hopefully they’ve improved.

I bought a set of the precision seal push-on variety when they first came out - they work great. My tub had the doors off so I just aligned the doors/latch a bit when I put them back on so doors closed without issue.

I just put my push on from LMC to do my body work. There is no way I'm getting the doors closed with this. Photo shows how far I can close it, pushing hard. Is the glue on smaller in size ?

If you use Precision brand, you wont have any issues.

I still have closing issues with the precision push on style. I now have to slam the doors to get them to close or have the window down.

Same issue I had on my 72 stepside. My wife couldn’t even close the door. I would have to walk around and slam it. I’ve never replaced with glue on but I also have never heard of this issue with it.
