68 gmc transfercase-rockwell...help!

I have a Rockwell 221 transfer case in my 68 gmc and in the adapter from the transmission to the t case is a coupler that hooks the two output shafts together. Does anyone have or know where I can buy one of these? I have tried lots of different searches with no luck and can't wait to get this truck on the road . Thanks in advance.

Better check the parts board. You can post a WTB once you subscribe, but anything you find you can buy. sorry I can't help with the adapter.

Couple of issues I can help with. First off, are you in need of the cast iron adapter that mounts the transmission to the transfer case? This is commonly known as the adapter. Or are you in need of the 10 splone couple that physically connects the transmission output shaft to the transfer case input shaft?
If you are in need of the 10 spline couple for the T221, it can be found, but will be very hard to find a good one. Search this site for " Rockwell T221 lives" Vero67 lists the new seal to use with a NP205 10 spline shaft. The seal will make up the difference in diameters between the shafts. The couple will need shortened and the teeth will need to be ground back/modified a bit. I have been having a lot of T221 fun as well:) Bruce

Thanks BLT gmc , I actually already got the 205 coupler that I cut down and the right seals but now it won't work because of the shoulder on the output shaft . How do you modify the teeth to fit the shoulder? Would a dye grinder work?

Die grinder will work in a pinch. I took mine to a local machinist with a CNC machine. Good luck, Bruce
