LSx numbers

Does anyone know if there are any vin numbers on the block of a 4.8/5.3 engine like there were on the old SBC's. I found a casting number but was looking to see if the newer engines had a stamped number somewhere that attached it to a vin

Rear of drivers side head. There will be a shelf, flat spot with the numbers made with what looks like a center punch. Mine were hard to read.

I saw that. But thought they were the head numbers. So there are no block numbser other than the casting number?

Mine matched up to the vehicle VIN, the last part of it anyway.
