Fuel prime? Problems help.

Hi, I am new to this section but not the site, I have a 1997 GMC k2500 with a 7.4l V8. Since owning it I have replaced the tires twice, front brakes calipers rotors and lines up front (haven't done the back ones yet), spark plugs wires cap and button, ignition coil, ignition control modulator, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, valve cover gaskets, hard line going to one of the rear brakes, and headlights. We have since noticed that at idle in park or neutral it has a slight miss and since we replaced the coil, control modulator, and fuel pump relay, every once in a while when I start it it shuts off after a few seconds like it's losing prime, but when I start it back up it runs fine other than the slight miss which it's had since we got it. Can anyone help my figure out what's going on here, if so that would be great.

Thanks,
Stephen

It has 194,??? Miles on it, almost 3 where I am and forgot to check when I got home this evening. I don't know if it's a clogged fuel filter causing this issue or if it's something else though. Couldn't find any information online about it so thought someone from the forums could help me, any info would be great.

Thanks,
Stephen

I know it's a ranger, but my 96 had a missed right at 800 rpm, nowhere else in it's rpm range. Once the tranny went and it got too rusty to fix, I tore it apart outta curiosity to see what it was and it had a burnt valve causing that. But a new fuel pump fixed my loosing prime issue like you have.

I would start with the fuel filter. Cheap and easy part to replace, probably needs it anyway.
