Well lets see them!

Cool now the third door guys have their own build page to show case the work you are doing so lets see what you are all building! Maybe just post a project pic and link to your own build page to get things started off.

well i have been reading alot of the builds on here and will try to start one of my own soon. i have a 68 GMC 2wd burb that i have only had a few months. i got it with no engine, but it had a 400T in it,3:73 posi rally wheels ,air bags in rear, drop springs in front and decent paint (they painted trim and all) my son and a couple friends put my 350 sbc in it and got it to my house. now i'm getting ready to do a disc brake and power steering upgrade to it keeping it 6-lug,( a member on here is helping me with that as soon as i get all the parts) hers a pic or two .i will be asking alot of qustions so be ready !! thanks ron

My wife already questions my sanity. With 3 vehicles going at the same time I even question it myself sometimes! I was right in the middle of finishing up my Austin sedan gasser build, and almost done with a total restoration of my '71 big block Camaro, when I spotted this '69 Burb. Really clean, really cheap, and I had to buy it too.
Now I've pulled off the others to spend some quality time with the Burb so it can be my toy hauler for the others when I need one. :)

Well heres the "Suville" Progress is quite slow funding being the major factor and physical impairments the second as Im a disabled vet none the less it keeps me movin forward and it certainly helps to occupy the mind with something other than health issues. Ive been collecting parts for several years now and my work space is donated by a friend that owns a wrecking yard helps some with parts and I am very grateful for the space I do body work for the owner in exchange for rent but it certainly is in my favor ( Thanks Frank). I was building a 68 with a BBC (cad) when I lived in Bellingham Wa. but had to sell it when I moved back to Idaho I picked this 69 up with a running 472 Cad but a real butcher job of an engine swap so I bought another hulk with a clean frame and started over.I wish I still had the 68 as it was a Phoenix, Az native with no rust and this has way more cancer than was first detected Oh well like I said keeps me occupied!

plans are, suicide 3rd door with stock exterior handle, no 4th door its a "rare 3 door" doncha know! And possibly an upper hatch lower barn door as Wess from Classic Heartbeat is doing or as Frizzle Fry did a one piece havnt decided yet. I have a 68 GMC and a 68 Chev nose assy leanin real hard toward the GMC as Cadillac and GMC were usually sold in the same dealerships and my idea was to build my version of a Cadillac SUV, hence the name Suville, Sub deVille is too many letters for a license plate but I might just run a "Classic" instead and badge it as Sub deVille . Suspension is 2 1/2 dropped spindles, Dominator 2600 bags all four corners and hope to incorporate as much of Rob from Nolimits suspension mods suggestions as possible. The biggest challenge was getting the engine as far back and deep into the frame as possible, I would have liked to get even farther back but it will have to do as is. Dont plan on autocross but wouldnt mind seeing just how good or bad it handles, my real burn is Bonneville a 507 ought to put it down the salt fairly quick for a brick haha !

Re: Well lets see them!

97 Tahoe if I recall (ebay) , It was abit more of a job installing it than the fronts that only required a couple additional holes and bolted right in. I have pics of the mounting system. I will need to raise the rear floor to match up with the seats when folded down for full cargo area.

bntmotorcycles....that is one clean, beautiful truck you have there. other than having sport mirrors instead of tripods and lack of cab lights, it makes me wish my dad's 72 burb had been that beautiful when he'd had it. and with the two sets of rims you can hit vintage gatherings and the tuner shows. looks awesome both ways!!!

love the shop too....wish i could afford to build something like that right now!

Windshield area in my 71 had holes and issues at both upper and lower seams. I did exactly what you did: welded them solid. No more leaks or issues here. Nice job.
