Re: Interest in aluminum hub knobs?

I have a yellow one I could send you, there the same other than the color & the blue 1/2 tons don't have spicer on them. I can send the chrome piece also so you have it for test fitting ! And I wouldn't need to get them back.

Superwinch makes hubs with blue knobs, they don't make replacement blue knobs for Spicer hubs (which is what the custom knobs in this thread are for).

Yes tds makes a replacement aluminum knob, they don't make replacement blue knobs for Spicer hubs ( which is what this custom knobs thread is for)

I know about the TDS knobs and the purpose of this thread. My post was about Superwinch not making replacement knobs (re: your post).

What I'd really like to see made is the chrome bezel for Spicer hubs (specifically, for D60's).

The half ton ones are several weeks out, I just received the prototype in the mail. But I will let everyone know when they are ready.

you can research this for yourself, but I was at a fastener place today , and the guy said that stainless steel bolts are not very strong, I am going to use my original bolts.

You are right, they do have a square profile and the ones from 4x4 tech are the originals but he has a limited amount of them for a premium price. I went to a place that rebuilds hydraulic cylinders and bought some from them that are the same dimension and close to the same profile. They fit very well.

Hi Bruce, can you find out which O rings or whatever you used,(dimensions) I am having trouble finding anything that will work, thanks, Jim

Jim, I have some that will work in addition to some originals. I need to find the part number for the new ones. I bought them at a place that repairs hydraulic cylinders. I will send you the info.

The company where I got the seals is American Seal Co 3528 E Desmet Spokane Wa 99202. 509-534-0455. Part HRU18-250-18.
Again these have the same dimensions as the originals but not the same profile but it is close.
