Re: Post pictures of your lifted 67-72's
I have a four inch lift with 35 inch tires on my new k20 and I really dislike it. I think I'm too old to haul my rear up in to the cab haha. It does look good though.
I have new 33 inch tires I'm putting on it when I can afford a 2.5 inch lift. And puller that is a sweet long stepper. |

4" is where it all began. Then came bigger, then came smaller. I don't see much use for 3" lifts, except fine tuning a stance, and don't see why deciding between the two would be hard. It's only 1", can you really see that? Nothing against 3", just sating keep it simple and decide between 2" or 4". A 2" lift is a great way to add a healthy look to a stockish truck or allow better clearance for 33/12.50s. 4" will clear 35s with care and still not look too crazy lanky with 235/75s. That has the look of the early 4wds' stance. I had a 6" lift and 37" tires for my current '72, because I sold the short K/10 Stepside they were for. I also had a set of slots with 35s for an optional set. I sold the 6" stuff and 37s because I really didn't want it all that tall, and mostly wanted to get away from the huge expense of a set of tires. Since the trucks are more classic now, I gave consideration to keeping a closer to stock look (finally, after always running big rubber) and wanted a 2" lift with either 285/75s or 255/85s (35/12.50s for a wider option). But, here I still had the 35" set, so I decided to go with a 4" to run those and would that 2" more really matter with the other two sizes? They will look great, a healthy strong stance, with that lift.
Here is all I have for stock and with 4" lift, 9.75 wheels, and 35/12.50s Attachment 1527065 Attachment 1527066 I guess what is wanted is 3" or 4" and nothing bigger? |

"Swampthing Special" the day I sold it. Only picture I have. It's lifted some, with a few mods, but can't recall exactly what we did exactly. It's the original 2wd frame (reinforced) and we fabbed the mounts, crossmembers, and such to run the 2.5t Rockwell drivetrain

I remember your Suburban. Don't you wish you could keep them all? I have pictures of my lifted '71 Blazer that are 32 or more years old. I wish I had it all that time. This thread is for general lifted 67-72s, so here it is/was. it has 7" of lift with 37/13-15 Swampers/8" wheels no rubbing

4" Rough Country. Rides better than my buddy's 2001 Stock Ranger Edge but worse than my 1988 F350 CCLB Dually Diesel(like sitting on your living room couch).
