Someone needs to save this truck!!!
Saw this today. A town is forcing this guy to get rid of his vehicles. They are making him get rid of 20 per day (he's got about 200). If he can't meet the quota, the couny will statr removing them. About 1/2 way down the page is a great looking stepside. It's in Northfield County, Michigan—located between Ann Arbor and Brighton.

And so it's going nation-wide where the busy-bodies are working to get rid of all these "collections." This in order to get the rest of these classic and antique vehicles, or at least get them off the road by starving them for parts.

Around here a person who showed up to force people to get rid of their stuff might get Tarred & Feathered over it!

Re: Someone needs to save this truck!!!
He just needs to scrap the crappy cars. Most of the new ones don't matter much. Like the Saab's for instance. If he has 60 worthless cars then he can scrap 20 a month. That gives him a 3 month cushion. If he sells 10 good ones then he only has to scrap 10 of those one month.
It sucks when you can't have your own stuff on your property. The new generation is going to screw all of this history up. |
Re: Someone needs to save this truck!!!
The problem (besides the quantity) is that he thinks he's going to get top dollar for everything. He can't hold out for 5k like he thinks. They are worth exactly what someone will give him. A few hundred each, not thousands.

Looks like to me most of those cars are not worth much.

Re: Someone needs to save this truck!!!
I'd be happy with that Jeep Commando and the C10.
Guessing he wants a mint for all the stuff, though. Which is fine--they're his to sell, his to set the price on. But the city is now going to have a say about it. -Brad |
