Picked up another K5 this weekend. What color is this?

Picked up this 1970 Blazer this weekend. Price was really good so i couldnt pass it up. The color is listed as Dark green but it looks more like a Poly to me. It is original paint. It also has a "heavy duty aux seat". Never seen that before. Thats my Dad in the picture. Going on road trips to rescue old trucks is our favorite thing to do.

Congrats on the new truck! Looks pretty solid and a great start. What are your plans for it?
Not sure on the color - does it match the color on the firewall. The Aux seat is actually for the front passenger seat as all seats (other than the driver one were an option to add) when you purchased the utility bucket (larger metal back seat) option. I believe that the sport bucket options came with both front seats and the rear seat. I could be wrong so though so other many provide additional insight though. Have any more pictures to share of the inside, underneath, etc. |

Good to know about the aux seat option. Firewall and under the level mats match the exterior just extra shiny. I had a "dark green" 72 truck and it was a solid color, this has a metallic in it and way lighter. It has very little rust on the exterior and the rocker boxes are all intact. Unfortunately it was full of trash when i bought it and the floor boards have a few rust holes. Nothing that cant be repaired. I am going to do a drive train and interior resto and try to preserve the exterior.

Very cool, I wish I could find one close to this condition in my area. At least you are saving it.

Now that I'm an older dude. Savor those times kid.
My Pops and I roamed the south doing the same thing for years. Those were the best times. And looks like a killer find. Scott |
