1969 c10 is it worth it?

there is a guy who wants to trade this 69 c10 shortbed for my 01 r1, my bike is worth about 4k, body looks kinda rough though i have yet to see it in person, its supposed to have a rebuilt 350, and the inerior is nice, i own a body shop so i wont have to pay for repairs, just parts, what is thing things ballpark value? is ???????

It's hard to say without more info. It's also against the rules to post a WIW thread unless you are a site supporter. It's one of the ways the BB manages to pay for it's upkeep.A mod may lock this thread but feel free to subscribe to the board and become a member of one of the greatest communities anywhere.

this is one of those iffy ones your bike is worth 4k right now and dropping.

ide would give it a look if you cant find rust or "bondo" in the floor or the drip rails or the bed. and the engine tranny checks out . i would trade it

but i love the Truck. so its a biased opinion.

As a motorcycle enthusiast my self your R1 is going down on price everyday quickly, I would tell the guy the truck and some $$$$ on top to see if he goes for it...even trade I would not do, also keep in mind that trying to sell the bike right now is suicidal and to find someone to trade for a 69 truck is a 10 to 1 chance if ever again.
Think about it and maybe trade it and stop the bleeding...Truck will apraise while they bike will always drop unless is a harley and it will hold value a bit longer.

Bikes are no fun in the rain, snow or mud...trucks are.

mustarogz69...what I would do is to look at trucks for sale on ebay, craigslist, Classic Cars and Truck mags, and the trucks for sale here and see what the asking prices are for similar trucks. For $4000 you can get some fairly nice daily drivers. It might be best to sell your bike first and then go truck shopping. You would then have a lot more trucks to choose from. As far as book value...swb trucks bring more $$$ and to some are more valuable. It's hard to say truck value. Good Luck.

project car's and truck's are not selling right now , and the ones that are selling are CHEAP! I just saw a 1967 camaro running driving car all original 327 buy it now on ebay $8000.00 that hasn't happened in many a moon , these truck's are not selling at all , only one's that are are done turn key !

right now would be a good time to buy if you had the money !!!

if I had a bike and someone wanted to trade me a truck even if it was a (model) ya know a toy? , I would trade QUICK;);)

Dont trade. if you really want a 67-72 in good shape, sell your bike and then buy one. otherwise i say keep the bike. bikes dont really lose much in value IMHO for example i bought my 98 ZX7R in 03 for $3500.. sold it 3yrs later for $3000 :chevy:

just my thoughts. oh and i laid her down pretty good once needing to be flown out

As i said in the earlier thread that was modded out --- that small pic of that truck and your description gives the impression that it is a $1500 POS truck (i've been there and been burned)

If you sell your bike for 4k , that opens up a world of solid projects for you
