White letters

Anybody have pictures of a 55-59 with white letter tires? Thinking something different to give a bit of a hot rod look.

There is a kid at the local tire store that will fill you in on what I think of white letters on tires. that is after he had to pull the wheels back off the truck, remount the tires and re balance them after he put them on white letters out after not reading the written instructions.

Maybe if the whole build is towards the street kana truck look they would pass or if it is a jacked up 4x4. They do look great on late 60's early 70's super cars with stock or period correct wheels though.

better get those white letters on there. if you put the hood on that thing it would totally blend in and get lost in a parking lot full of samesies. lol.
looks cool, not my kinda build but cool, nasty looking. totally hotrod home build. it's what it's all about.

I thought that picture was of a vanilla white refrigerator until I read your post and looked again! /sarcasm

doesnt look like you need them, but if you want them letter it up. if someone doesnt like it tell them to build their own.

They won't look out of place on that truck as it has that rather macho git er done look to it.

It's a little older than the requested 55-59 pic but it does have the white letters. They seem to work with it.

Only my .02 worth, but your truck is cooooooool as it is, white letter tires would look out of place. They look good (to me only) on muscle cars, your truck looks good as it is. Again my .02 worth

I had a 66 SS Chevelle, no white letters on the tires , then I had a 1979 Trans AM. Michelin tires , white letters, Then a 1968 Z28 Camaro drag car, I cleaned the white off with Lacquer thinner. All in what looks good.

Your truck looks mean without and probably will look with them. Sometimes a little change is what one needs for added motivation so if that's the case go for it.
That is one badass truck. I don't see many GMC's.

I second the muscle car look. IMHO they look great on a muscle car or muscle truck.

Checked out the build thread on this truck and it a cool ride.
