OBDII reader/app
This might be old news, but it was new to me.
I found an ODB reader that plugs into the OBD port and via Bluetooth and an app gets the data onto my phone. Didn't know such a thing existed until a few days ago. For $10 is was skeptic but it works as advertised, really blown away how cool this is. My phone now shows my rpm, speed, temps, elevation, vacuum, volts, gps speed, etc.... There is maybe 50 data points I can pick from. Prop it up on a cell phone holder and I have one hell of a gauge package. https://www.amazon.com/Panlong-Bluet...op_mb_pd_title You will have to get an app from the play store as well. I used Torque Lite free app at first but then paid $5 for the Torque Pro app. I have nothing to do with either the plugin deal or the app. |

Re: OBDII reader/app
Yes I love my ELM 327 and Torque Pro
You can move it to any OBDll port real time -- a second or 2 +/_ |
Re: OBDII reader/app
Heck the ESP32 chip now has a CAN bus line right on the chip! You don't even need the ELM327 (unless you're just doing raw serial stuff).

Re: OBDII reader/app
The ESP 32 is way above my pay grade!

Re: OBDII reader/app
Yes! The Torque app is a awesome tool for these swaps. One that I will be using until I can afford Dakota Digital gauges!

Re: OBDII reader/app
