Max Wheel Size
 

I have a 1986 c10 fleetside longbed. 3" lowered coils in the front and 5" lowered axle flip in the rear. I wanted to know what the widest tires front and rear are that I could put in without changing inner wheel wells or suspension components and what backspacing would I need on the wheels?

Welcome to the forum jabable. What size wheel do you plan to run? Before I start offer advice, I need more details.

I want to run 15x10 wheels with 295/50r15 tires front and back.

That can be done out back w/o issue. Fronts might be an issue depending on the 'look' you like. Everyone has their likes/dislikes.....

What do you mean by look? I want the truck to have a more handling oriented look. Wider fairly low profile tires. What issues might I run into with the front?

No offense intended.... but 15" steel wheels w/50 series tires were better that skinny/tall OE stuff back in the 80's. Do you want the 'look' or the performance?

If it's just the look, that size will work if you dont mind the wheel lip flush or past the front fender-lip. If you want handling..... the real deal, 17" wheel diameter w/current rubber standards are what you need.

Agree with SCOTI. 15's and 295 50's are not the current way to go. 17's are the sweet spot for tire availability and maximize the look of the lowered truck. I would shoot for at least a 28" tall tire.
