Been looking for a blazer or a suburban for a while now and the girlfriend found this one on the internet. Bought it and had it shipped from Idaho to Alabama and it got here today. Planning on getting it cleaned up and running and driving for nw. Then later on have 6.0 ls and 4l80 that will be going in it. And bagging it eventually.

I'll have to get some more pics when I get off work this afternoon. Story behind it though is that the dealer I bought it from bought it from original owner. It has been painted at some point though.

Well got the burb to the shop and found the motor is locked up. So the ls swap will begin sooner than later.

Break it loose and use it...:).. I did that with a Buick engine once and ended up driving it for four years before it gave up the ghost.... I had to pry it over with a pry bar on the flywheel teeth to get it broke loose.

I pulled the plugs and the number 6 plug had been smashed so I'm guessing theres internal damage.

That's a nice solid looking Burban. It looks well worth shipping from southern Idaho (assuming south and not northern Idaho) even with a missing cylinder. The book under the column is an old school trailer brake controller.

Yea it came frome mountain home idaho so kinda southern i guess. And its pretty solid need one rear quater panel replaced and the rockers are starting to buble other than that i havent found any rust. And there are very few down this way. What few are for sale are outrageously priced. Ive got less than 5k in buying this one and having it shipped.

I don't know if I have ever seen a Med Olive truck with a gold interior.

Re: New to me 70 burb

It has whit interior now. But looks original. I’ll have to get some interior pics. I wish they would have left it med olive instead of painting it.

Few updates been gathering parts for it. Got 5 lug disc brake conversion for front with 2in drop spindles and 3in drop springs. riddler 20x8 and 20x10 wheels, bunch of rear suspension parts and a supercharged 6.0 ls engine. In the meantime while I gather parts for the ls swap I threw in an old 283 I had from a previous C10.

That engine will work great in there. We just finished an LS swap in my 67 Suburban. I just posted updated in my build thread with everything we used.

Nice start, what color do you think the truck is now? It looks similar to my stock Ivory color.

I'm not real sure a previous owner painted it and did not do a good job at all on it. Its kinda off white color that doesn't have a shine to it like they used a cheap one stage paint or something.
