Lowering my 1988 3/4 ton 2wd Burb
So i got a BONE stock 3/4 ton 2wd Suburban recently... Tomorrow I am putting on a new wheels and tires..275/45/20s ...and removing the "grandpa" running boards... Soon after on the list is the adding of 3" dropped spindles for the front and a flip kit for the rear. I have been told the flip kit will drop the rear about 6" The plan then is to cut front springs to level the front to the rear.
Heres my question.... I think this will make a definite improvement in the stance...but wont get it to where I ultimately would like it to be. What would you guys suggest the next move be? Bags? Can bags be added tot he static drop I have planned? I just dont want to spend money on static drop items that I wont be able to build upon when dropping it further. Ideas? Thoughts? |

if your going to cut the springs then so far everything you have mentioned will go with adding airbags to it.
The airbags will replace the coil springs and (if you install a link) the rear leafs. The flip kit will probably not be reused if you add a link but it's only a $40 or so dollar investment. |

I think the biggest problem you may run into with the flip is the rear diff hitting the floorpan. It's an issue with Blazers, so I would guess a Sub may be the same.
