RIP Ron586
With heavy heart I pass the news. Our beloved Ron has passed. Ron was a major asset of the site, truck clubs and general great guy. His sons Lew and Glenn wife Naomi and family are in our thoughts and prayers. We were blessed to be able to meet and go to shows with Ron for many years. God bless.

Re: RIP Ron586
Prayers for his family. I met Ron years back when he had his “BARN FIRE” sale. I bought some parts off him then and went back later looking for some other stuff. He was a good guy to talk to.

Re: RIP Ron586
I'll miss Ron. He was a great guy and a good friend to me and others here. I recall him setting on the side of the road with another member who lost an axle on the way home from a show. It was 100* or so that day but Ron wouldn't leave Rob until a friend showed with a truck and trailer. Ron's health had already started to go and others stopped and offered to stay but Ron wasn't the kind of guy to leave a friend. May he rest in peace and My prayers for the family, and I have met all of the ones Liz named. His "brother (I think)" had posted a couple of times on his wall on fb and I knew he wasn't doing well but we always hope.

Re: RIP Ron586
Ron was a great guy who would have done anything for anyone. Here's a pic of me and him at the 2016 Southeastern Truck Nationals and the second pic is of a board meet at my house back in 2009.

Re: RIP Ron586
We always talked of wanting to meet but the day never came. He was a big guy to fit that bigger heart. I remember the meet & greet stay over (a couple I think?) that I was hoping to make right up to the day of it. He was a good kidder, he played well with others. I am so sad to hear this. I know he had his struggles with health that limited him in recent years. But Ron never gave up. May you rest in peace there, Ron. God bless...
Who has that video clip of his Nova burnout? |

Re: RIP Ron586
It's been a long time, but Lew had mentioned his dad was battling with some serious health issues. Lew moved back to TN a few? years ago. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Re: RIP Ron586
Very sad news. It's been several years since I last spoke to Ron in person but I have stayed tuned to his "Thread of Life" and I always thought it was really nice that there was a place where folks could go and just chew the fat. Ron was a staple around here and will be sorely missed for sure. RIP brother.
