1972 GMC Sprint, the while-I'm-at-it build!
3 Attachment(s)
I picked up this beast back in September for a daily driver, for $2500! It gets fairly decent gas mileage, 18-20MPG and of course, its turning to a build. I keep finding things that I just don't like and HAVE to fix! I will post pics as time goes on, Enjoy!Attachment 1603280

So here's one thing I found and can't live with, mud close to 1/2 inch thick on the tailgate! Sorry about it being upside down, I have to figure out how to turn them around.

Thanks Flashed!
Well first of all Merry Christmas! I'll try to get some more pics uploaded soon, I've taken a lot already and have got a lot done, latest was I got rid of the horrid plastic racing bucket seats that were in it when I bought it and found a decent set of electric black leather bucket seats out of a '00 Monte Carlo for $75, surprisingly they fit pretty well AND they are comfortable :) |

Oh yeah,The engine is a 350, and from the code its a 300HP '69 camaro 350. It has 56CC 416 heads, and its like it can't breathe after about 2 grand, so for now its gonna get some vortec heads off of a 1996-9 5.7 and im starting to consider a 383 kit, but that's quite a ways from now. More pics to come!

Re: 1972 GMC Sprint, the while-I'm-at-it build!
A little update.... In the typical "while I'm at it" fashion of this vehicle, while pulling the tranny, I started looking into an ls3 swap for this......and found one! 2008 Ls3 flex fuel with only 100k on it complete with wiring and computer all for $700. Gonna pick it up tomorrow night, more pictures to come!

Ive been busy this summer, so its been a while! The new powerplant is a 5.3 L33 out of a wrecked 2008 chevy pickup. Plan is to rebuild the original th400, convert the engine over to a carbureted setup, and bolt this bad boy to it.
Here's some pics.... Edit.....(Sorry they're sideways.. still trying to figure that out!) |
