70 K10 to 1 ton axle swap info

I'm building a 1 ton dually from a 70 K10 , I have a Dana 60 front and a Dana 80 rear axle . Are the front perches spaced correctly for the 60 ? I know the spring pads on the 80 will have to be moved. Are there any aftermarket options recommended for mounting them ? I'm also looking for a 8 inch lift kit . Any advice will be helpful.
Thanks Louis

For the lift talk to http://offroaddesign.com/ and yes youll have to move the spring perches on that dana 80.And you can get a swap kit like http://www.barnes4wd.com/AAM-115-Dan...SABEgImJ_D_BwE

If the 60 came out of a Chevy, you're good to go. If it came out of say a Dodge, it will have the right passenger side drop but perches might be in the wrong place.

As far as that 80, post up some PICS. I know the 70 is huge. The 80 must be humongous and just shy of being a Rockwell! Does it have a locker or posi of some sort?

There's a bunch of places that sell quality swap "kits" with the right diameter U bolts and heavy spring plate. ORD, Barnes, DIY4x4 and RuffStuff all make some pretty killar tank parts.

FWIW, there are perches for that 80 that will allow moving the axle forward or back 1" if you need. I got mine from Summit. They were pretty inexpensive.

That's real good to know. Are the Dodge axles kingpin or ball joint? I've always steered clear of them for the mounting differences. Also, aren't they mostly full time without hub locks? Is that an easy conversion? Seems they pop up more often and are a little cheaper than the GM 60s around here.

Would be nice to have more than one option for a good front axle!

I have never done it myself i do know the leaf spring dodge dana 60s are cheap and fit with that spring bushing kit. From what i have read the leaf spring dodge dana 60s are king pin where the later coil spring ones are ball joint.93 and back are the ones that will work,And as far as the lockouts i havent seen many dodges that old here to say for sure. The newer dodges 94 up ran the unit bearings so no factory lock outs on them.
