This facebook post was brought to my attention.

It's a nice overview of the GM Milford Proving Ground:

The poster, Tom Youngs, was one of the original engine software calibrators. He did the calibration for the '87 pickups, which was the year throttle body injection was introduced.

You are welcome.

I would be happy to answer any questions she might have. I worked at the Milford Proving Ground for 3 years, in C/K/R/V development, and then at the Desert Proving Ground for 4 years, in brake and driveline development (for Full Size Truck).

Hey Keith I meet a bunch of young guns last year at the Power Tour. They were all engineer's at the proving grounds. I don't think any of them were older than 25. They all had LS motors in the vehicles. Great bunch of guys. I talked to them just about everynight in the parking lot of the motels.;):chevy:

Thanks for sharing this Keith. Brings back a lot of memories for me. My last year at MPG was 2001. I worked as a tech in light truck development in bldg 26 from 1995 - 2001 and I worked in bldg 11 maint from 1991 -1995. My dad worked there from 1974 until 1995. It has changed a lot since then. I left right after they built 104.

Good times.

Thanks for the post; send me a PM with your name, if you wish. I might recognize your name - I was at MPG from '86 -'89 in Bldg 73 (Light truck), and then at the DPG from 90-94. I spent time in Bldg 26 as a non-resident when I came back to Michigan as a Design/Release engineer.
