60 clutch/brake master cylinder to 65 brake master cylinder question

Ok So I am cab swaping.....I think I have most everything figured out except the brake master cylinder. The 60 keeper cab has the hydraulic clutch and brake master. The 65 just has the brake master cylinder. I have an automatic in the keeper truck, so no need for the clutch. Question is, can I take the brake master cylinder off the 65 cab and mount it up to the 60 and still work without a whole lot of modifying? probably just redrilling holes, just wondering the ease of this or if it a whole separate project in itself?

thanks !

J

Contact Capt. Fab.

He makes this part which I installed just 2 days ago, to cover the 2nd. hole and re align the bolts.

Sweet thanks !!!!! Are you using the original brake cylinder from a 63-66?

No, my donar cab was set up as a 4 speed so since I had the hrdramatic mated to the block, I needed to close off the extra hole. on the BB they say use a '67 impala? dual master cylinder whoch mates right up the original holes.

Someone chime in on what years he can use, I'm not sure.

Most any GM master cylinder will bolt up. For manual drum/drum brakes I prefer to use the '67-'70 master cylinder and metering block. For manual disc/drum brakes , use a '71-~'76 master cylinder and proportioning valve.
